Program accomplishments

  • Southside Harm Reduction Services (SHRS) is a Minnesota non-profit organization founded in 2017. SHRS is a grassroots, comprehensive health program primarily serving communities in South Minneapolis. The mission is to promote the health and wellbeing of community members facing substance use challenges. SHRS core programming includes: distributing health education and safety supplies via street outreach; offer on-demand mobile safety supply deliveries; low barrier drop in center; distribution of the opioid overdose antidote naloxone and overdose prevention education; HIV testing; and, linkage to services that provide non-discriminatory care.
