TO ENABLE THE SUCCESS OF PIA AND ITS MEMBERS BY IDENTIFYING AND MEETING THEIR NEEDS. TO LEAD THE INDUSTRY ON BEHALF OF PROFESSIONAL INDEPENDENT INSURANCE AGENTS AND THE AGENCY DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM, PROVIDING THE BEST IN EDUCATION, INFORMATION, ADVOCACY, AND PROTECTION.
Program accomplishments
- THE CHIEF OBJECTIVES OF THIS ASSOCIATION ARE AS FOLLOWS: (1) TO SERVE THE NEEDS OF THE PUBLIC BY INCREASING THE PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE OF ITS MEMBERS IN PROVIDING CONSUMERS WITH INFORMATION AND GUIDANCE WHEN PURCHASING INSURANCE; (2) TO PROMOTE HIGH IDEALS AND STANDARDS IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST THROUGHOUT THE INSURANCE INDUSTRY; (3) TO REPRESENT THE INTERESTS OF ITS MEMBERS BEFORE THE VARIOUS GOVERNMENTAL AND REGULATORY BODIES; (4) TO IDENTIFY EMERGING ISSUES OF IMPORTANCE TO INSURANCE AGENTS AND THEIR CUSTOMERS AND DEVELOP APPROPRIATE AND EFFECTIVE RESPONSES TO THEM; (5) TO ENSURE THAT VESTED INTERESTS OF ITS MEMBERS ARE PROTECTED AND ADVANCED BY VIRTUE OF OWNERSHIP RIGHTS IN THE INSURANCE THEY PRODUCE; (6) TO DISSEMINATE INFORMATION TO THE PUBLIC CONCERNING THE ROLE AND SERVICES PERFORMED BY ITS MEMBERS AND THEIR STAFFS; (7) TO DISSEMINATE INFORMATION TO THE PUBLIC THAT ENABLES THEM TO BECOME MORE INFORMED PURCHASERS OF INSURANCE SERVICES; AND (8) TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO FACILITATE THE WORK OF ITS MEMBERS AND TO SERVE THEIR BUSINESS NEEDS.
