Mission
The Friends of Battlefield Park Foundation, Inc. was established to enhance, preserve, and revitalize Battlefield Park and the neighborhoods in the surrounding area. Our mission and goal is to make the park a space for activities for youth and young adults, as well as families living in the Battlefield Park community; improve relations in the community, assist the residents in the community with their personal needs, as well as their property needs by providing help and resources to revitalize their neighborhoods, and restore the area to its original status in the City of Jackson.
Program accomplishments
- The organization taught and trained 20 potential tennis players from underserved communities during 2025. These children learned the sport, competed with other youth, and participated in a tournament in another state. All expenses were paid by the organization, and the experiences for them was priceless. Their participation in our program has reshaped their lives and given them a new perspective of themselves and their abilities.
