Program accomplishments

  • In 2025, Seas the Day Mobile Library significantly expanded its impact across Oklahoma City, bringing literacy, technology access, and educational programming directly into underserved communities. We traveled throughout neighborhoods, schools, apartment communities, and community centers, providing free books, tutoring, STEM education, and digital resources to PreK-8 students who may not otherwise have access. Throughout the year, we distributed thousands of free books to children and families, helping build home libraries and encouraging a lifelong love of reading. Our mobile library also provided technology access through onboard computers, allowing students to complete homework, participate in STEM activities, and explore digital learning opportunities. In 2025, we also hosted community literacy events and Book Walks, including the Pages in the Park Book Walk series, which brought stories to life in outdoor community spaces. These events encouraged families to read together while making literacy fun and interactive. Through partnerships with local organizations and national supporters, our programs continued to grow. Highlights included national recognition through a Disney Christmas Day Special and the donation of 1,000 books, allowing us to further expand our reach to children across Oklahoma City. Additionally, we helped bridge the digital divide by providing laptops to students in need through community partnerships, ensuring children have the tools necessary to succeed in school. By meeting families where they are...at schools, housing communities, and neighborhood gathering spaces-Seas the Day Mobile Library is helping remove barriers to education and building a stronger culture of literacy across our city.
