Program accomplishments

  • WE RESCUE, REHABILITATE AND CARE FOR ANIMALS THAT ONCE FOUND THEMSELVES SURRENDERED, ABANDONED, AND EXPLOITED. THE SIZE OF PROPERTY ALLOWS US THE UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO OFFER A SAFE HAVEN FOR FARM AND DOMESTIC ANIMALS. THE BLIND SPOT ANIMAL SANCTUARY FOCUSES ON THOSE ANIMALS THAT OFTEN GET OVERLOOKED DUE TO SPECIES, AGE, COLOR OR DISABILITY. WE HOST FREE EDUCATIONAL TOURS. WE HAVE HOSTED A LARGE EDUCATIONAL SEMINAR FOR ALL NC GOVERNMENT RUN SHELTERS WHERE 80 SHELTER EMPLOYEES, ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICERS, AND SHERIFF DEPARTMENTS WERE ABLE TO COME OUT AND LEARN HOW TO PROPERLY AND SAFELY CARE AND HANDLE LARGE ANIMALS. WE HAVE HOSTED A TOUR FOR CHILDREN WITH DISABILITY. WE ALSO PROVIDED ASSISTANCE TO DURING HURRICANE FLORENCE AND BOARDED ANIMAS FOR FREE FOR OWNERS. WE ALSO PARTNER WITH A LOCAL SHELTER AND OFFER FREE BOARDING FOR FARM ANIMALS THAT ANIMAL CONTROL PICKS UP AS THE SHELTER IS NOT SET UP FOR LARGE ANIMALS.
