Mission

The SLV Regional Science Fair's primary exempt purpose is to provide a platform and support/guidance/judges for participating 4th through 12th grade science students in the presentation and competition of their original scientific research projects in the annual SLV Regional Science Fair, adhering to rules set forth by the governing organization with which we affiliate, the Society for Science (sponsor of the Regeneron National Science Talent Search, and the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair)

990-EZ for the year ended August 31, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • The 2025 SLV Regional Science Fair was held in late February and hosted a total of 219 students and 197 projects, from seven high schools, nine middle schools, and seven elementary schools within the San Luis Valley. These students received over $30,000 in monetary awards, material awards, scholarships, and all-expense paid trips to International Science and Engineering Fair. In addition, we supported and worked closely with dozens of teacher sponsors in schools across the San Luis Valley, helping them to enhance their science programs and provide project-based learning opportunities in their school districts.
