TO ACQUIRE TAX DELINQUENT AND NON REVENUE GENERATING PROPERTY AND PROVIDE NEW HOUSING, NEW JOBS, AND NEW INDUSTRIES FOR THE CITIZENS OF MACON-BIBB COUNTY.
Program accomplishments
- ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY & TECHNICAL SERVICES: Acquisition of under utilized properties on behalf of non profit and private developers for the purpose of returning the properties to a productive use status and returning the properties to the tax roll.
- HOLDING AND MAINTENANCE OF PROPERTY: To hold and maintain properties for future redevelopment purposes
- DISPOSITION OF PROPERTY: To dispose of properties to responsible non profit and private developers for development purposes. The redevelopment of these properties will aid in the elimination of slum and blight, provide decent, safe and sanitary housing for low to moderate income individuals and contribute to the overall revitalization of inner-city neighborhoods.
