Mission
Anselm House exists to connect faith and knowledge with all of life, equipping students, faculty, and staff at the University of Minnesota and individuals in the Twin Cities area to lead integrated lives in Jesus Christ.
Program accomplishments
- Study Center - At Melrose Station, located in the University of Minnesota's "Stadium Village," students gather to study, socialize, and participate in Anselm House programs. Melrose Station has a small library and gallery and hosts regular weekly rhythms, including noontime prayer, afternoon tea, and weekly lunches with discussions. Partnering campus ministries are able to reserve rooms.Community Discussions - Through semester-long reading groups and weekly community meals that gather people from across denominations, the Organization fosters ongoing conversations and longterm relationships where faith and knowledge can be integrated with life.Expenses $818,204 · grants $1,331 · revenue $256,262
- Public Events - Through events large and small, the Organization annually convenes thousands of university and community members for lectures and forums on a wide spectrum of topics in the areas of health and medicine, science and engineering, education, law and public affairs, agriculture and animal science, and liberal arts and business.Expenses $490,923
- Fellows Programs - Within the student Fellows program, tutors lead small cohorts of undergraduate, graduate, and professional students through a curriculum designed to help students integrate their work at the university with their Christian faith. Through shared meals, facilitated conversations, retreats, and communal prayer and worship, students learn to order knowledge to the love of God and neighbor as well as grow in both moral and intellectual character. We offer similar programs for University of Minnesota faculty members and staff. Two communities of student fellows live together in one of two residential community houses.Expenses $327,282
