Mission
THE MISSION OF THE LOUISE H BATZ PATIENT SAFETY FOUNDATION IS TO HELP PREVENT MEDICAL ERRORS BY ENSURING PATIENTS AND FAMILIES HAVE THE KNOWLEDGE NEEDED TO PROMOTE A SAFE HOSPITAL EXPERIENCE FOR THEIR LOVED ONES, AND TO SUPPORT INNOVATIVE ADVANCEMENTS IN PATIENT SAFETY.
Program accomplishments
- BATZ PROGRAM GUIDE FOR PATIENT SAFETY SERVES ALL PEOPLE IN THE UNITED STATES. THE PROGRAM GUIDES SERVE ANYONE WHO PLANS TO RECEIVE OR HAS A LOVED ONE PLANNING TO RECEIVE MEDICAL TREATMENT IN THE UNITED STATES. ALL PROGRAM GUIDES ARE DESIGNED AND ISSUED TO BE USED BY PATIENTS TO BETTER PREPARE EACH MEDICAL TEAM AND PATIENT TO AID THE CARE TEAM IN THE REDUCTION OF ADVERSE EVENTS AND MEDICAL ERRORS WHICH CAUSE DEATH OR MEDICAL MALPRACTICE.
