We exist to fight for the creation of an equitable and just future for Black children and families. We mobilize communities and ignite movements on the strength of Black excellence. Children of color need culturally affirming, responsive, and reflective and phenotypically accurate learning materials that promote positive self-perception and foster a true sense of belonging and engagement in their learning and care environments. To facilitate the literacy experience, we held several activities, the last of which we featured books written by black authors from within the Philadelphia area.
