Program accomplishments

  • Early childhood development wherein we provide full-time, year-round child care services to VA and other federal employees at a discount as well as to the general public. Many families receive subsidized childcare through the State's eChildCare vendor. Our child care operation was continued to be adversely impacted by the COVID pandemic wherein enrollment was less than 50% of licensed capacity. Nevertheless, high quality child development services were provided to enrolled students throughout 2022 notwithstanding the ongoing and increasing operational challenges. Dedicated staff maintained high level of reliable attendance throughout the year to insure quality service delivery to our students and our partnership with the parents.
    Expenses $226,510 · grants $47,000 · revenue $286,121
  • Tri-City Peoples Corporation is a HUD-Certified Housing Counseling agency authorized to provide comprehensive housing counseling services to first-time homebuyers, foreclosure prevention services to homeowners, rental and homeless counseling. As a result of the pandemic, the demand for these services increased. Counselors provided counseling services to about 1,200 households of which 80% were at or below 100% of the respective county's area median incomes. 50 first-time homebuyers purchased their first home in 2022.
    Expenses $80,681 · revenue $229,264
  • Tri-City offered transportation services to childcare age and school age children at greatly discounted rates to insure the safe transport of children to/from home to school from school to home. The program operated at a loss due to high maintenance costs for the vehicles used in the service.
    Expenses $158,839 · revenue $21,138
