Mission
THE PURPOSE OF THIS ASSOCIATION IS TO PROMOTE THE GENERAL WELFARE OF THE MAGNESIUM INDUSTRY, OF THE MEMBERS OF THE ASSOCIATION, AND ALL OTHERS AFFECTED THEREBY, TO DEVELOP AND INCREASE THE USE AND ACCEPTANCE OF MAGNESIUM AND ITS ALLOYS, AND TO ENGAGE IN SUCH OTHER AND FURTHER ENDEAVORS AS SHALL INCREASE THE USEFULNESS OF THE INDUSTRY TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC, AND TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY THEREFOR.
Program accomplishments
- THE ANNUAL WORLD CONFERENCE TOOK PLACE IN MAY 2024. THE IN-PERSON CONFERENCE PROVIDED EDUCATIONAL CONTENT WITH PANEL AND TECHNICAL SESSIONS. THERE WAS ALSO AN EXHIBIT HALL FOR ATTENDEES TO MEET WITH SPONSORS AND EXHIBITORS. THERE WERE ABOUT 200 ATTENDEES OVER THE COURSE OF THE THREE DAY EVENT.
- OVERSEAS REPRESENTATION - THE ORGANIZATION HAS ARRANGEMENTS FOR A LOCAL REPRESENTATIVE IN EUROPE, ASIA, AND INDIA TO ANSWER MEMBER QUESTIONS, AND TO ATTEND MEETINGS ON THE ORGANIZATION'S BEHALF
- THE COMMUNICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM INCLUDES THE MARKETING AND STUDIES THAT ADDRESS MAGNESIUM, ITS ACCURATE MATERIAL CLASSIFICATION AND USE, AND THAT ENCOURAGE ITS SELECTION IN APPLICATIONS. SPECIALIZED WEBINARS ARE ALSO CREATED TO EDUCATE ON VARIOUS MAGNESIUM TOPICS.
