Program accomplishments

  • Our core program area is hosting virtual and in-person workshops. In this period, we hosted a several workshops including: a 3-day workshop alongside a major conference and supported four attendees with travel + housing support, organized a hackathon with provided meals and materials, and two small 2 hour long workshops at PyData Vermont and RSE'24. We also hosted ongoing bi-weekly calls to maintain momentum with the CoARA ERIP research group. Through these events we engaged with over 250 participants, led to a technical working group that now meets biweekly with 30 active members, and contributed to the development of five research tools. Through these activities, SciOS advances the integration of culture and technology in science, ensuring sustainable collaboration among researchers, technologists, and institutions.
