Mission

WE CREATE ACCESS TO ESSENTIAL VETERNIARY CARE INCLUDING LOW COST SPAY AND NEUTER, VACCINES, AND MICROCHIPS, TO ENCOURAGE RESPONSIBLE PET OWNERSHIP AND TRANSFORM COMMUNITIES FROM CRISIS TO THRIVING.

990 for the year ended December 31, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • In 2025, the Caravita Foundation achieved significant programmatic milestones in its mission to end unnecessary shelter euthanasia through expanded access to high-quality, low-cost spay and neuter services. The Foundation powered the opening of two dedicated spay and neuter hospitals Community Animal Treatment Center in Burbank, CA and Littlerock Pet Clinic in Littlerock, CA and facilitated 5,543 spay and neuter procedures across its service areas. At full operational capacity, these two hospitals alone will provide 20,000 low- and no-cost sterilization surgeries annually. The Foundation also launched its Ready to Go Home program, providing spay and neuter services directly to overburdened LA Animal Services shelters. By absorbing the surgical burden from shelter staff, the program accelerates the availability of adoptable animals and reduces the length of shelter stays a direct intervention in the euthanasia pipeline. To build a sustainable and engaged donor base, Caravita introduced the Spay & Neuter Club, a monthly giving program that invites donors to sponsor the sterilization of a homeless or owned pet each month connecting individual supporters directly to the Foundations frontline impact. For 2025, we powered (funded) one spay and neuter hospital (brick and mortar) in Burbank: Community Animal Treatment Center. They are on track to perform over 10,000 low cost sterilization surgeries per year.
