Program accomplishments

  • CONTRA COSTA COLLEGE FOUNDATION (CCCF) HAS BEEN WORKING SINCE 1967 TO INCREASE FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR OUR STUDENTS. THE FOUNDATION'S WRAP-AROUND FUND SUPPORTS STUDENT SUCCESS AND REAL STUDENT NEEDS. GIFTS MADE TO THIS FUND HELP WITH STUDENT RETENTION AND NEEDS SUCH AS MENTORING, CLINICAL SERVICES, TUTORING, BOOKS, RENT, TRANSPORTATION, AND CHILDCARE. STUDENTS APPLY FOR THESE FUNDS THROUGH AN EMERGENCY FUND APPLICATION AND ARE REQUIRED TO BE ENROLLED AT CCC IN A MINIMUM OF SIX UNITS, BE IN GOOD STANDING (NON-PROBATIONARY STUDENT) AND MUST WRITE A BRIEF NARRATIVE ABOUT THEIR NEEDS. ALSO, MORE THAN $373,036 WAS AVAILABLE IN SCHOLARSHIPS FOR CCC STUDENTS FOR OUR ACADEMIC YEAR. FINANCIAL SCHOLARSHIPS ALLOW STUDENTS TO CONCENTRATE ON COLLEGE STUDIES AND PARTICIPATE IN EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES, CREATING A WELL-ROUNDED AND SUCCESSFUL GRADUATE.
    Expenses $373,036 · grants $373,036
  • PROGRAMMATIC SUPPORT IS PROVIDED TO CCC AND ITS PROGRAMS AND IN SEVERAL WAYS, THROUGH DIRECT PROGRAM SUPPORT AND THROUGH A GRANT PROGRAM DURING THE ACADEMIC YEAR. THE UNRESTRICTED GRANT PROGRAM PROVIDES APPROXIMATELY $150,000 IN SUPPORT FOR NEEDS SHARED VIA INDIVIDUAL GRANT APPLICATIONS FROM FACULTY AND STAFF. THE CCC FOUNDATION BOARD MEMBERS REVIEW THESE APPLICATIONS AND BUDGETS THREE TIMES EACH YEAR AND DECIDE WHICH PROJECTS RECEIVE FUNDING. AN ARRAY OF PROJECTS ARE FUNDED, SUPPORTING ACADEMIC AND STUDENT SERVICES, STUDENT CLUBS, AND MUCH MORE.
    Expenses $328,223 · grants $106,974
