The Navigator program provided awareness, education and support for patients from the time of cancer diagnosis through survivorship, with the navigator team, which consisted of a nurse navigator and cancer survivors who mentored patients during their cancer journey. During 2025 Project H.E.R. provided free resources and guidance to 200 patients, hosted 3 monthly cancer support groups (for breast cancer, blood cancer and gynecological cancer patients), provided house cleaning services for 5 patients (totaling $1,062) and emergency financial assistance grants totaling $8,127 (ranging from $173 to $1,000 each) paid directly to vendors for 16 patients for rent, mortgage, car loans and repairs, medical expenses, insurance, and utilities. In addition, 140 gas and grocery cards totaling $7,000 were purchased and distributed to numerous patients. The Cook for Cancer program paid $20,549 for 720 meals for 150 families of local cancer patients who were undergoing chemotherapy treatments of all types of cancer diagnoses, oncology and hematology. In addition to $39,206 of cash expenditures, an additional $39,521 of donated services, meals and facilities were received during 2025 for Project H.E.R. programs.
    Expenses $39,206 · grants $36,738
  • Scholarships totaling $21,600, ranging from $1,000 to $3,500 each, were awarded during 2025 to 13 college and high school students who are pursuing careers as doctors, nurses, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, physical therapists, phlebotomists, and other medical professionals.

  • Youth Support Programs: The Youth Mental Wellness Program spent $8,243 during 2025 to provide mental health resources and support to children and their families. The Foundation is working to fill some of the gaps between the low number of mental health practitioners and the many young people in need of mental health support. In 2025 the Foundation sponsored a one-day mental health summit with 100 participants (and expenses totaling $5,314) that provided continuing professional education and networking opportunities for mental health practitioners. Also, the program continued to support an online Youth Mental Resource Guide that offers current information on mental health providers and resources available to residents of Benton, Linn and surrounding rural counties in the areas of child abuse/neglect, suicide prevention, LBGTQ support, eating disorders, bullying and cyberbullying, and schizophrenia and psychosis, and the guide also lists counseling services that are available for those individuals and families who are uninsured and where to find emergency housing for youths aged 10 to 17. In addition to assisting with mental health, the Foundation provided $2,248 of grants for the purchase of groceries and diapers for clinic patients (children and their families) in financial need.
    Expenses $8,243 · grants $2,248 · revenue $1,534
  • Emergency Assistance Grants: During 2025 the Foundation assisted 3 individuals with emergency expenses totaling $2,075 to help them through financial hardships. These grants were paid directly to vendors (such as landlords and utility companies) and supported the individuals' urgent financial needs for assistance with rent, utility and insurance expenses, and student loan payments, that the individuals were unable to pay on account of their medical illnesses, work layoffs, deaths in the family, or other unforeseen family circumstances.
