Mission
Charity Works supports programs that enhance the well-being of individuals, families, and communities, with a special focus on providing musical instruments and music education opportunities to underserved schools and students.
Program accomplishments
- Charity Works is a charitable organization dedicated to supporting music education in public schools by providing musical instruments and resources to high school bands that lack adequate funding. Our mission is to ensure that every student has the opportunity to learn, play, and grow through music. During the 2024, the Manilow Music Fund achieved the following: 1.) Instrument Donations: Provided new and refurbished musical instruments to high schools nationwide, reaching approximately 4,000 students. 2.) School Partnerships: Partnered with music educators and band directors to assess school needs and provide new instruments. 3.) Fundraising Impact: Raised approximately $1.04MM in donations from individual donors, corporate sponsors, and benefit events. These funds were used directly to purchase instruments and support music programs. 4.) Student Outcomes: Feedback from participating schools indicated an increase in band participation rates, improved student morale, and greater access to performance opportunities. Through these efforts, the Manilow Music Fund continues to inspire young musicians and strengthen the role of the arts in education.Expenses $562,663
