Mission

DOGTREE PINES is a 501(c)3 Nonprofit senior dog rescue & sancutuary located on 6 acres in the pines of Prescott, Arizona. We are dedicated to senior dogs in need of a forever home, medical, hospice, and end of life care. We primarily intake high risk, med-large breeds who are 10 years and older. We adopt & foster out a few, but the majority that come to the pines are here to stay. We support them with great food, supplements, medications, & love until the time of their passing.

Program accomplishments

  • In 2025, Dogtree Pines Senior Dog Sanctuary impacted the lives of more than 75 senior dogs, many rescued from euthanasia lists due to serious medical conditions. We specialize in taking the dogs other rescues cannot, providing the medical care necessary to restore their health and quality of life. Medical treatment is our largest expense and includes procedures such as splenectomies, tumor removals, degloving injury repair and other critical care. Our mission is to give every senior dog the opportunity to live a healthy, comfortable, and loved life.

  • Many of the senior dogs in our care require lifelong medications and specialized supplements to manage chronic conditions such as arthritis, heart disease, kidney disease, allergies, anxiety, and cognitive decline. These treatments are essential to maintaining their comfort, mobility, and quality of life. Medication and supplement costs represent a significant ongoing expense and are critical to our mission of providing exceptional care for senior dogs.
