FOSTERING THE CREATION OF A MORE CULTURALLY DIVERSE AND INCLUSIVE LEGAL COMMUNITY BY IMPROVING THE PIPELINE, RECRUITING AND RETAINING DIVERSE LAWYERS
Program accomplishments
- IN 2025, THE ORGANIZATION ADVANCED ITS LEGAL PIPELINE PROGRAMS BY PROVIDING 1,501 CONSULTATIONS AND SERVICES TO ELEMENTARY, MIDDLE, HIGH SCHOOL, AND PRE-LAW STUDENTS. IT CONTINUED KEY PROGRAMS, INCLUDING YEAR TWO OF THE CREIGHTON UPWARD BOUND MOCK TRIAL PROGRAM AND THE PATHWAY TO PRACTICE INTERN PROGRAM, AND EXPANDED PRE-LAW SUMMITS TO LINCOLN IN ADDITION TO OMAHA.THE ORGANIZATION STRENGTHENED COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS, SUPPORTED LAW STUDENTS THROUGH NEW PROFESSIONAL OPPORTUNITIES, PUBLISHED SIX INCLUSION EDUCATION ARTICLES, AND CELEBRATED THREE NLDC EXTERNS GRADUATING LAW SCHOOL WITH POST-BAR EXAM JOB OFFERS. IT ALSO MAINTAINED STRONG FOUNDING BOARD SUPPORT, SECURED $50,000 IN UNRESTRICTED GRANT FUNDING, AND CREATED ITS 20262028 STRATEGIC PLAN
