Mission

Gender IDEAL launched the Reproductive & Maternal Health Compass. RMH Compass works to support and protect reproductive and maternal health (RMH) benefits for all workers in the U.S. by engaging with employers to assess and expand their RMH benefits. Gender IDEAL is focused on the health and well-being of all workers and celebrate employers who raise the bar on what providing best-in-class RMH benefits looks like at work. Gender IDEAL products and services, including a performance standard, benchmark reports, and a resource hub for employers, set the standard for what best-in-class RMH benefits look like in practice.

Program accomplishments

  • Gender IDEAL, Inc., advocates for a future of work that is truly IDEAL-inclusive, diverse, and equitable in access and leadership opportunities-for all genders. Its focus is on supporting women of color, women of diverse sexual orientations, gender identities, religions, economic backgrounds, and abilities. The organization is placing a special emphasis on the critical need to support and protect the reproductive and maternal health of American workers. In 2025, RMH Compass expanded this work through the launch of the RMH@Work Corporate Trends Bulletins, evolving the original index into an ongoing series designed to track year-over-year progress in reproductive and maternal health benefits across major U.S. employers. The 2025 bulletins incorporated updated employer submissions, expanded qualitative insights, and deeper analysis of emerging trends and best practices.
