Mission
Pomona Valley Pride advances the well-being of LGBTQIA2S+ individuals and allies through affirming support services, educational and arts programming, advocacy, collaborative partnerships, and community-centered initiatives that empower healthier, safer, and more fulfilling lives throughout the Pomona Valley region and surrounding communities.
Program accomplishments
- The 2024-2025 fiscal year marked a pivotal period of growth, innovation, and resilience for Pomona Valley Pride. Through intentional program development and strategic partnerships, we expanded our capacity to uplift, support, and celebrate LGBTQIA+ youth and their families across our region. While our organization experienced growth, the aftermath of the 2024 election brought increasing challenges nationwide, including reductions in funding opportunities and heightened attacks targeting queer and trans communities. Although the direct impact on Pomona Valley Pride during this fiscal year remained minimal, we recognized the urgent need to strengthen support systems and expand programming for our constituents. In response, we launched several new initiatives designed to provide advocacy, healing, connection, and visibility for our community. Programs such as Together Strong, The Reading Circle, Justice Beyond Gender, Radiant Voice, and Hear Me Out were created to amplify community voices, support families, foster belonging, and promote initiatives rooted in dignity, equity, and humanity. Please see below for additional program details.Expenses $969,085 · grants $6,350
