Program accomplishments

Our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, educational environment for all of our children. We are licensed by the State of Montana to care for children ranging from 2 to 8 years of age. In addition to our daily childcare program, we offer a preschool program, after school program, and a fully staffed summer program. Honeybear also partners with Hellgate High Schools Child Development classes in a grassroots effort to introduce those students to the business world and promote potential career opportunities upon graduation. Our full time professional teaching staff is supported by students from the University of Montanas work study program, many of whom are enrolled in the colleges Elementary Education Curriculum. Honeybears daily program adds a practical supplement to their classroom studies while providing additional income to the students. Each of our teachers participate in Civil Rights Training, continuing education classes, and have taken over and above the necessary training hours to meet government standards and maintain accreditation in the State of Montana.Honeybears present curriculum includes childcare, preschool lessons, interactive musical sessions by Tangled Tones Studio, dance with Miss Caitlin's Dance Class, Stretching, Exercise, and daily playground activities (weather permitting) and field trips to local events and points of interest.Honeybear Daycare participates in the USDA Food Program and provides approved nutritious meals at breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack. Meals are served family style; with the exception during the pandemic.
