We also aim to provide humanitarian aid and support to our local youth and adults of all ages in our community through programs of Power Pak 4 Kids and Springfield Community for Families.
Program accomplishments
- Capitol Theatre:We provide entertainment to our community through the showing of a variety of current movies on weekend nights. We operate with two part-time employees and three to four volunteers each night. Depending on the movie being shown, we will have an attendance of anywhere from 5-120+ people in one night. We operate our concessions and provide fresh, hot pizzas, popcorn, candy and soda for sale to our customers.Expenses $98,074

We sponsor seasonal events such as a Pumpkin Shine before halloween, which gives kids and parents a chance to celebrate the holiday in a safe manner by having a costume parade, costume contests, pumpkin decorating contests with prizes to the winners. Pizza and drinks are also offered to participants at no charge to them. We also offer a free movie and a visit from santa at Christmas, along with a goody bag of fruit and candy handed out to the children.
