OUR PROGRAMS ARE DESIGNED TO STRENGTHEN, EXTEND, AND AMPLIFY THE IMPACT OF EXISTING HEALTH SYSTEMS AND OUR PARTNER NETWORK, WHICH INCLUDES GOVERNMENTS, NGOS, ACADEMIC INSTITUTIONS, AND PRIVATE SECTOR ORGANIZATIONS. OUR SERVICES FOCUS ON DELIVERING EVIDENCE-BASED NUTRITION SOLUTIONS DURING THE CRITICAL WINDOW FOR GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT FROM PREGNANCY THROUGH FIVE YEARS OF AGE. OUR NUTRITION INTERVENTIONS, WHICH ARE IDEALLY DELIVERED AS AN INTEGRATED PACKAGE OF MATERNAL, INFANT, AND YOUNG CHILD NUTRITION SERVICES, INCLUDE: I) ESSENTIAL MICRONUTRIENT SUPPLEMENTATION, COMPRISING OF VITAMIN A FOR CHILDREN UNDER FIVE YEARS OF AGE AND UNIMMAP MULTIPLE MICRONUTRIENT SUPPLEMENTATION FOR PREGNANT WOMEN; II) CONTROL OF CHILDHOOD INFECTIONS THAT CAN COMPROMISE NUTRITIONAL STATUS THROUGH THE DEPLOYMENT OF ANTI-PARASITIC TREATMENTS, PRIMARILY ALBENDAZOLE; III) SOCIAL AND BEHAVIORAL CHANGE INTERVENTIONS THAT OPTIMIZE MATERNAL, INFANT, AND YOUNG CHILD NUTRITION, AND/OR IV) SUPPLEMENTARY FEEDING INITIATIVES FOR YOUNG CHILDREN. THE ORGANIZATION USES AN IMPLEMENTATION SCIENCE APPROACH TO IMPROVE THE IMPACT OF NUTRITION POLICIES AND NUTRITION SERVICES DELIVERED. WE ACHIEVE THIS BY UNDERSTANDING BARRIERS AND ENABLERS TO IMPLEMENTING NUTRITION INTERVENTIONS, AND THEN IDENTIFYING AND TESTING POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS IN AN ADAPTIVE, ITERATIVE MANNER. THROUGH THIS PROCESS, WE FOSTER KNOWLEDGE EXCHANGE, COLLABORATION, AND OWNERSHIP AMONG A RANGE OF KEY STAKEHOLDERS. THIS INCLUDES ASSESSMENTS OF THE LANDSCAPE INTO WHICH CHANGE IS BEING INTRODUCED; AWARENESS RAISING AND CONSENSUS-BUILDING ACTIVITIES AMONG NATIONAL AND LOCAL DECISION-MAKERS AND STAKEHOLDERS; AND ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES WITH NATIONAL AND LOCAL STAKEHOLDERS TO IDENTIFY, DESIGN AND TEST STRATEGIES INTENDED TO OPTIMIZE THE DELIVERY OF NUTRITION SOLUTIONS. AS STRATEGIES FOR SCALING ARE IDENTIFIED, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE IN THE FORM OF LEARNING SOLUTIONS, MONITORING AND EVALUATION SERVICES, AND SUPPLY CHAIN SOLUTIONS NEEDED TO SUPPORT DEPLOYMENT OF NUTRITION SOLUTIONS. GLOBALLY, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES ITS SUPPORT THROUGH NUTRITION GRANTS THAT INCLUDE PRODUCTS AND SERVICES, TECHNICAL ADVISORY SERVICES, AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO QUALIFIED PROGRAM PARTNERS (INCLUDING GOVERNMENTS AND NGOS) OPERATING IN LOW AND MIDDLE INCOME COUNTRIES DESIGNATED AS EXPERIENCING MODERATE TO SEVERE LEVELS OF UNDERNUTRITION, ANEMIA, HIDDEN HUNGER, AND/OR PREVALENCE INTESTINAL PARASITES BY THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION, AS WELL AS THE UNITED STATES, CANADA, AND THE UNITED KINGDOM.Expenses $154,035,266 · grants $138,364,598
