THE MISSION OF ALEXANDER MEMORIAL LIBRARY IS TO SERVE AS A FOCAL POINT OF OUR COMMUNITY, PROVIDING QUALITY MATERIALS AND RECREATIONAL NEEDS OF THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY THAT IS WELCOMING, RESPECTFUL AND BUSINESSLIKE.

Program accomplishments

  • PROVIDED LIBRARY SERVICES AND ACTIVITIES INCLUDING BOOKS, FILMS, VIDEOS, AND COMPUTERS WITH INTERNET SERIXES TO THE RESIDENTS OF LA SALLE COUNTY TEXAS WITH A POPULATION OF APPROXIMATELY 9000. THE LIBRARY HAS SEEN AN INCREASE DEMAND FOR THE LIBRARY SERVICES DUE TO THE RECENT OIL BOOM IN THE EAGLE FORD SHALE. MAJO PROJECT IS THE SUMMER READING PROGRAM FOR THE CHILDREN OF THE COMMUNITY. THE LIBRARY PROVIDED LA SALLE COUNTY CONTINUED SERVICES OF OVERDRIVE ACCES TO EBOOKS, DIGITAL AUDIO BOOKS, BOOKS, AND MORE.
