Program accomplishments

  • UNITY LEADS A COLLABORATIVE OF ABOUT 50 NONPROFIT AND GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS PROVIDING HOUSING AND SERVICES TO PEOPLE CURRENTLY AND FORMERLY EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS IN NEW ORLEANS AND JEFFERSON PARISH. SINCE 2007, WE HAVE REDUCED HOMELESSNESS BY 87 PERCENT. FROM JANUARY 2023 THROUGH DECEMBER 2025, UNITY AND ITS PARTNERS ASSISTED OVER 3,000 PEOPLE TO OVERCOME HOMELESSNESS THROUGH THE PROVISION OF HOUSING AND SERVICES. ON ANY GIVEN NIGHT, OUR COLLABORATIVE IS PROVIDING RENTAL ASSISTANCE AND SUPPORTIVE SERVICES TO ABOUT 3500 FORMERLY HOMELESS PEOPLE, MOST WITH SEVERE DISABILITIES, WHO WERE ASSISTED OUT OF HOMELESSNESS INTO PERMANENT HOUSING IN PRIOR MONTHS, YEARS AND DECADES AND CONTINUE TO NEED SUPPORT.
