Mission

To create cultural experiences and educational opportunities for our community through music. This includes symphony orchestra performances and other live entertainment at the Reilly Arts Center and the Marion Theatre in Downtown Ocala.

990 for the year ended June 30, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • The Ocala Symphony Orchestra is one of Marion Countys most established, and longstanding, cultural organizations. We operate a performing arts venue, the Reilly Arts Center, the Marion Theatre, a historic 1941 theatre located in Downtown Ocala, and a music school. The organization offers a variety of ways for the community to experience live music and the performing arts. The Ocala Symphony Orchestra presented its 49th season in fiscal year 2024-2025 with 12 full orchestra subscription series concerts, several themed concerts and the 35th Annual Young Artist Competition in January. Student enrollment continues to grow at the Community Music Conservatory, with more than 125 active students of all ages. Through donor support, need based scholarships were awared for youth to take lessons offered by our professional teachers and musicians. As a year-round presenting venue, the Reilly Arts Center produced 125 concerts and events throughout the year, welcoming more than 50,000 patrons.
