Mission
The purposes are to support school PR professionals in their work through professional development, networking, and other activities and promote school public relations programs. We accomplish our purpose through the annual fall conference; professional development programs which feature a full day of four seminars focusing on relevant topics; the Blue Ribbon Awards program, which recognizes members for effective school communications and public relations efforts; a mentoring program for people new to the profession; and scholarship opportunities for members to attend the NSPRA national seminar.
Program accomplishments
- Coordinated and conducted The NCSPRA Blue Ribbon Awards, an annual celebration honoring school district communications excellence, presenting awards in eight categories and recognizing top performers through a ceremony that provides professional development, networking, and benchmarking opportunities for education public relations professionals.Expenses $13,610
- Planned and facilitated a collaborative professional development workshop for school communications and public relations professionals, and organized and executed the NCSPRA Fall Conference, offering opportunities for professional growth, networking, and fellowship among North Carolina school PR practitioners.Expenses $60,368
