PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR TEACHERS AND ADMINISTRATORS; PROVIDE COMMUNICATION AMONG TEACHERS AND LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS ACROSS THE STATE; PROVIDE LEADERSHIP AND GUIDANCE RELATED TO THE STATE STANDARDS OF LEARNING, AND EFFECTIVE MATHEMATICS INSTRUCTION FOR ALL GRADES, K THROUGH COLLEGE; PROVIDE GRANTS TO LOCAL AFFILIATES AND TO TEACHERS TO ASSIST THEM IN ATTENDING CONFERENCES OR DEVELOP ACTIVITIES FOR THE CLASSROOM; PROVIDE ENRICHING AND CHALLENGING ACTIVITIES FOR STUDENTS AND TEACHERS TO PROMOTE THE ENJOYMENT AND APPRECIATION OF MATHEMATICS.
