Program accomplishments

  • Hyattsville Aging in Place ran a successful food security program, including working with Meals on Wheels, a Farmers' Market and a nonprofit farm, delivering 2,137 pounds of fresh fruit and vegetables and occasional hot meals during winter months and other treats (fresh eggs, bread and bakery items). There are substantial additional views and downloads after the program. Total sessions during the year: 10 online programs, 6 in-person programs, and 6 informal Lunch Bunch gatherings.
    Expenses $11,543 · grants $1,500

These volunteer services included 219 essential rides, 41 home/yard maintenance services, 11 equipment loans and 101 referrals to services.
