Mission
TO PROMOTE AND ENHANCE THE COMMUNITY. THE NEW PRAGUE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE IS A GROUP OF APPROXIMATELY 175 BUSINESSES AND INDIVIDUALS THAT SHARE THE MUTUAL GOAL OF KEEPING NEW PRAGUE A VITAL PLACE TO LIVE AND WORK.
Program accomplishments
- FOR OVER 30 YEARS, THE CHAMBER HAS ORGANIZED THE DOZINKY FESTIVAL. THIS IS A LARGE COMMUNITY EVENT HELD ON THE THIRD WEEKEND IN SEPTEMBER. FRIDAY NIGHT FESTIVITIES INCLUDE A CLASSIC CAR CRUISE, WHERE HUNDRES OF CLASSIC CARS FRUISE MAIN STREET, FOLLOWED BY A STREET DANCE FEATURING LOCAL ENTERTAINMENT AT THE CHAMBER BEER GARDEN. ON SATURDAY, THE CZECH-FLAVORED FESTIVAL BEGINGS WITH AN OPENING CEREMONY IN THE CZECH VILLAGE. FOOD AND MERCHANDISE VENDORS OPEN UP AT 10AM AND SERVE UNTIL 5PM. AT NOON, A PARADE OF FARM PRIDE IS HELD TO HONOR OUR AGRICULTURAL AND CULTURAL ANCESTRY. THIS IS A FUNDRAISER FOR THE CHAMBER BUT ALSO A WAY TO SUPPORT OUR LOCAL BUSINESSES AND ORGANIZATIONS BY PROVIDING A BELOVED COMMUNITY CELEBRATION FOR OUR COMMUNITY. ALL OF THE EXPENSE/REVENUE LISTED IS AN ESTIMATE.
- OTHER COMMUNITY PROMOTIONS:EACH YEAR, THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE ALSO ORGANIZES SMALLER PROGRAMS TO PROMOTE SHOPPING LOCAL AND COMING TOGETHER AS A COMMUNITY. WE ADMINISTER THE NEW PRAGUE CZECHS PROGRAM, WHICH ARE GIFT CERTIFICATES THAT ARE USABLE AT ANY CHAMBER-MEMBER BUSINESS. A 5K RACE THAT HELPS BRING PEOPLE TOGETHER TO SUPPORT PHYSICAL HEALTH AS WELL AS EACH OTHER; WITH VISIBILITY FOR OUR LOCAL BUSINESSES. WE PRODUCE "CZECH OUT NEW PRAGUE" - WHICH SHOWCASES AREA BUSINESSES AND ORGANIZATIONS - AND IT'S FREE TO THE PUBLIC. DURING THE HOLIDAY SHOPPING SEASON - BETWEEN THANKSGIVING AND CHRISTMAS - WE COOPERATIVELY ADVERTISE HOMETOWN HOLIDAY.
