The purposes of this corporation are: a. developing and operating one or more Christian homeschool academies focusing on academic and religious formation; b. providing support, information, education, development, and other resources to homeschooling families, to assist in the education of their children in both academic and religious contexts; and c. performing other activities that are reasonably in support of the educational and formation purposes described above.

Program accomplishments

  • In 2025, Cove Classical Academy was incorporated as a Minnesota non-profit corporation, a Board of Directors was appointed, a corporate governance structure was implemented, and Cove applied for 501(c)(3) status with the IRS. The legal entity was created in August 2025 and was the initial structure of Cove in any form, and was necessary for all subsequent steps related to the publicizing of Cove's mission and pedagogical approach, the recruitment of students and families, and seeking a facility to host Cove's first school year.
    Expenses $850
  • Cove created its Mission, Vision, Values, and summaries of pedagogical approach, which were incorporated into a professionally designed website with a professionally designed logo--www.coveclassical.com. The website was critically important to conveying information about the school to prospective families and to convey a seriousness of the organization regarding its organizational planning and the thought that went into its educational theory. The website also served as the anchor for publicizing open house events that introduced Cove to families considering enrollment.
    Expenses $14,292
  • Cove secured the first portions of its curriculum materials in 2025. The full curriculum will form the backbone of Cove's educational services.
    Expenses $690
  • In October 2025, Cove secured a lease for the 2026-27 school year. Finding a landlord that understood Cove's vision for a new school, and which was willing to host a brand new school was critical to creating confidence for potential enrolling families that they could understand the space in which Cove planned to found its school and teach its students. The facility also hosted multiple recruiting open houses that provided information to parents considering Cove for their children. Securing the facility lease was also important to present to prospective teachers, to show them that important steps in Cove's formation had been completed.0
