The website was critically important to conveying information about the school to prospective families and to convey a seriousness of the organization regarding its organizational planning and the thought that went into its educational theory. The website also served as the anchor for publicizing open house events that introduced Cove to families considering enrollment. 690 0 0 Cove secured the first portions of its curriculum materials in 2025. The full curriculum will form the backbone of Cove's educational services. 0 0 0 In October 2025, Cove secured a lease for the 2026-27 school year. Finding a landlord that understood Cove's vision for a new school, and which was willing to host a brand new school was critical to creating confidence for potential enrolling families that they could understand the space in which Cove planned to found its school and teach its students. The facility also hosted multiple recruiting open houses that provided information to parents considering Cove for their children. After time to review individually, the Secretary solicited any questions or potential changes regarding the Form 990. No changes were proposed and the Board voted to proceed with filing the Form 990. We undertook one meaningful expenditure in 2025, the design of Cove's website and logo by an outside firm. We confirmed that the firm had no connection to any Board member. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 Cove's Head of School is also the Chair of the Board and her Head of School duties are part of her Chair role. The Board agreed that the Head of School was receiving zero compensation, but was executing duties in connection with her role as a volunteer Board member and Officer. The Board also agreed that no other compensation was to be paid to any other management employee (none were hired) in 2025. While Cove was apparently awarded 501(c)(3) status in February 2026, the IRS never sent a hard copy notice of the status change by US Mail and never updated the TEOS database online. Cove first received confirmation of its 501(c)(3) status in July 2026 (when Cove contacted IRS after the mandated 191-day waiting period for requesting a status update) and then commenced preparing this Form 990.
