Mission

Environmental education from a spritual perspective

990 for the year ended October 31, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • Earthcare Campaigns: In 2024-2025, QEW led major efforts to engage 371 Quaker meetings and generated over 1,400 volunteers to protect clean energy efforts around the country. We expanded our global advocacy by sending a cohort of 16 young Friends to UN COP30 as Quaker Youth UN Ambassadors and hosting an international side event.
    Expenses $59,198
  • Local Action: QEW catalyzed localized environmental stewardship through our Mini-Grants Program, directly funding renewable energy installations, reforestation, and youth-led climate education across North America and East Africa. To build global interconnectedness, we established the QEW Africa Working Group to develop an Earthcare education and training hub in Kaimosi, Kenya. We also launched the QuakerEarth Action Map, an interactive global database that documented 57 new Quaker environmental projects this year, making grassroots sustainability effortsfrom divestment to community agriculturevisible and accessible to the public.
    Expenses $48,952 · grants $7,795
  • Education: We empowered our network by hosting over 15 educational programs, trainings, and workshops designed to build community resilience and strategic organizing skills. Our bi-annual gatherings, "From Faith to Regeneration and Common Ground," convened participants to explore ecological law and regenerative cultures with prominent environmental leaders. We coupled these events with dynamic multimedia outreach to equip a new generation of activists with a spiritual foundation and practical tools for their climate justice work."
    Expenses $48,952 · revenue $23,564
