Mission

Project Ethiopia partners with rural communities to create hope and opportunity through education, healthy homes, and economic resilience.

990 for the year ended December 31, 2024

Program accomplishments

  • In 2024, Project Ethiopia constructed 180 new homes for individuals and families that were the most disadvantaged in three new communities. These houses are made with durable, long-lasting roofing and replace housing that relies on grass materials to provide roofing and protection from the rain. We distributed solar lanterns to 200 households to provide additional hours of high quality lighting and a way for rural families to charge a cell phone. We established 2 new micro loan funds to provide support for farmers who cannot access credit through traditional banks. These funds made 20 loans at 5% interest. Lastly, we formed two new Farmers' Associations, each composed of 50 model farmers (a total of 20 women and 80 men), and provided each member with training and tools to improve their farming production.
