Mission
THE MISSION OF SOUTH CAROLINA INSTITUTE OF MEDICINE AND PUBLIC HEALTH IS TO COLLECTIVELY INFORM POLICY TO IMPROVE HEALTH AND HEALTH CARE IN SC.
Program accomplishments
- IMPH'S CORE SERVICES ARE RESEARCH, EDUCATION, AND CONVENING. WE DEVELOP POLICY PAPERS, FACILITATE TASKFORCES, PERFORM PRIMARY AND SECONDARY RESEARCH, ANALYZE AND TRANSLATE DATA, AND EDUCATE AND ENGAGE LEGISLATORS AND OTHER POLICYMAKERS. IN FY25, IMPH HAS CONVENED THE IMPROVING MATERNAL AND INFANT HEALTH: INCREASING ACCESS TO CARE IN RURAL SC TASKFORCE WITH EXPERTS FROM ACROSS SOUTH CAROLINA TO WORK COLLABORATIVELY TO DEVELOP AN ACTION PLAN FOR SOUTH CAROLINA ADDRESSING MATERNAL AND INFANT HEALTH OUTCOMES THROUGH IMPROVED ACCESS TO CARE IN RURAL AREAS.Expenses $920,561 · revenue $100,000
