Mission
THE NETWORK REPRESENTED BY GEMN INCLUDES DIOCESES, MISSION AGENCIES, SEMINARIES, RELIGIOUS ORDERS, AND INDIVIDUALS OF THE EPISCOPAL CHURCH. ITS MAJOR ACTIVITIES INCLUDE: AN ANNUAL CHURCHWIDE MISSION CONFERENCE, CALLED MISSIO; A MONTHLY ONLINE MISSION WEBINAR, CALLED MISSION THURSDAY; A SEMI- MONTHLY NEWSLETTER, CALLED GLOBAL MISSION NEWS; MAINTENANCE OF THE GEMN WEBSITE (WWW.GEMN.ORG); PROVISION OF MULTIPLE RESOURCES ON THE WEBSITE AND IN PRINT FORMAT; PARTICIPATION IN VARIOUS CHURCHWIDE GATHERINGS; AND ONGOING CONSULTATION ABOUT GLOBAL MISSIONS BOTH WITHIN AND OUTSIDE OF THE NETWORK. GEMN IS OVERSEEN BY A 12-MEMBER VOLUNTEER BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND SERVED BY A PART-TIME EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AND PART-TIME PROMOTIONS COORDINATOR.
