Mission

We promote the empowerment of individuals with a special focus on disadvantaged women and seniors through proven programs that educate, foster self-sufficiency and support enhanced quality of life.

990 for the year ended December 31, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • STNA - The Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) training program is approved by the Ohio Department of Health and consists of 100 hours of curriculum, skills practice and clinicals. Preliminary workforce assessments are completed to assure candidates possess the qualities needed for working in health care and also a literacy level of at least 5th grade reading. The program is designed to meet the needs of our focus student population and includes a slower pace, a smaller ratio of nurses to students, extra skills practice and access to remediation. As a result, 99% of our CNA graduates passed the exam required to be listed on the Ohio Nurse Aide Registry. 86% of CNA graduates transitioned into employment within 90 days of graduation into our network of employer partners. A Job Coach served as a resource for the graduates and assisted in addressing workplace behavior issues to prevent job loss. Access to a Resource Navigator provided support in mitigating barriers such as child care, transportation and housing instability that could impede employment retention.
    Expenses $485,404
  • Senior and Supportive Services - Senior and Supportive Services program provided an average of 261 unduplicated individuals with food bags from our community food pantry, increased socialization for homebound seniors through weekly phone calls and hand-written notes, advocacy, assistance completing benefit paperwork and more. Bi-monthly food bag deliveries included various staples - meat, eggs, fresh produce and household and personal items. An additional 387 individuals received Supportive Services that included food, financial assistance for State ID's and birth certificates, as well as rental and utility assistance, and 414 individuals received referrals to other community resources. We served 25 individuals with Representative Payee Services.
    Expenses $403,999
  • Workforce Development and Adult Education - Job Training and Workforce Supportive Services assisted job seekers to steadily increase their job readiness skills, determine their career path, and remove barriers to entering and staying in the workforce. Workplace assessments were provided to help identify appropriate career choices based on fit and talents and/or the need for academic remediation required for a specific training program. The Hospital Worker Readiness Program (HWRP) was offered to individuals interested in accessing entry level jobs in health care who presented with an affinity for this career pathway. This 55-hour curriculum provided general job readiness skills and basic information related specifically to working in health care. 82% of participants graduated and 74% were offered positions within the Mercy Health Hospital system post-graduation. MNMs Workforce Supportive Services Program (WSSP) provided 3,908 interactions offering access to community resources, including financial support from MNM to mitigate barriers, and coaching to help ensure training program completion, long-term employment retention, and financial stability. Finally, a group of selected WSSP participants were engaged in Elevating Circle gatherings three times during the year which created a safe space for individuals to share their successes and how they navigated challenges while working towards building a financially stable future for themselves and their families.
