Mission

Life House has a passion to bring "life in abundance" to the next generation of Uganda using free vocational training, crisis counseling, and spiritual discipleship.

990 for the year ended March 31, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • Student Support Services: Many Ugandan students have experienced trauma. Within student support services, each student is assigned a social worker who takes time to understand their background and provide appropriate counseling, visits the students and their families in their homes, and connects them to additional resources as needed. Student support services also provide behavioral change training, helping students to recognize and respond to dangerous or difficult situations, as well as opportunities to celebrate their cultural background through musical/dramatic performance.
    Expenses $209,063 · grants $2,037
  • Vocational Training: The vocational training program is for men and women in various locations to attack generational poverty and lack of education, and to provide employable skills and opportunities for those living in marginalized communities. Participants may elect to be trained in: artisan trades, car driving and repair, catering, computer/videography, electrical, hair/cosmetology, welding, and tailoring. At the completion of the program, some students are scored on a national competency assessment in accordance with the Directorate of Industrial Training and the Uganda Vocational Qualification Framework.
    Expenses $157,758
