Mission
TO PROMOTE AND ENHANCE POSITIVE BUSINESS ACTIVITY AND GROWTH IN THE SLATE BELT REGION WITH SPECIAL EMPHASIS ON COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT.
Program accomplishments
- DINNERS/MIXERS/etc.: Sponsors events at which business peoplemay meet, interact and share knowledge while engaging speakerswho provide information pertinent to the members and community.
- DIRECTORY/NEWSLETTERS: Publishes an annual booklet and onlinemonthly newsletter of the local areas businesses and industries withadvertisements and community events to increase local awareness.
- COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES: Scholarship Awards and Christmas Party topromote the local area academically and benefit children of needy familiesto increase community welfare/spirit & also supports local nonprofits.
- ECONOMIC STIMULUS: Promotes the revitalization of downtown areas, encourages improved local transportation, and planned development of local areas with economic potential. Associated with the local Council of Governments (COG) to help promote and coordinate efforts of local municipalities in solving regional issues and problems.
