Mission

JJPI is a specialized organization that provides prevention and treatment services in the areas of sexual and interpersonal violence, post-traumatic stress disorder and other forms of trauma, infant and early childhood mental health, and perinatal mental health. JJPI is one of the few organizations in the United States that offers a comprehensive approach to trauma by addressing the entire cycle of abuse, through serving both trauma survivors and those with problem sexual behavior and/or a history of relational violence. JJPI implements a number of evidence-based treatment in our work and has a strong community focus.

990 for the year ended June 30, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • SURVIVOR SERVICES PROGRAM: JJPI provides a full-range of outpatient evaluation and treatment services to survivors of sexual and interpersonal violence and other types of traumatic experiences. We serve the entire age range. Our Survivor Services program also serves individuals under age 12 who have shown age inappropriate or potentially problematic sexual behaviors. SAFETY AND RESPONSIBILITY PROGRAM: JJPI provides a full range of outpatient evaluation and treatment services for individuals charged with or convicted of sexual offenses and individuals charged with or convicted of relational violence offenses. As part of our programming for adults, we work closely with courts and departments of probation and parole. We also provide a separate program for adjudicated youth ages 12 and up who have exhibited problematic sexual behaviors that works closely with family court and child welfare systems. Multi-Systemic Therapy Program: JJPI's Multisystemic Therapy (MST) program is a comprehensive intervention designed for at-risk adolescents ages 10-17, implemented across various settings. The primary objective of MST is to foster positive social behaviors while decreasing criminal behavior, mental health concerns, out-of-home placements, and substance use. MST targets the fundamental factors contributing to delinquent and antisocial behavior by conducting an ecological assessment that examines each participant, their family dynamics, and the influences of their school and community. JJPI's Multisystemic Therapy for Problem Sexual Behavior Program (MST-PSB) is a clinical modification of the MST model designed to treat adolescents who have engaged in problematic sexual behavior.
    Expenses $6,248,012 · revenue $8,470,136
  • Additional programs and partnerships: JJPI is committed to innovation and developing new programs to fill in gaps in the service continuum. We also have a strong community focus and believe our impact is enhanced by working closely with those organizations whose missions we support. We frequently look to develop formal partnerships with these organizations to help create new programs and extend our reach. Grant funding usually supports the development of these additional programs and partnerships, which are managed by our Innovation, Grants Management, Prevention, Admissions, Community Outreach, and Training (IMPACT) Team. Programs include school-based and community-based prevention programs; training and technical assistance; infant and early childhood mental health programs (MIND & Philly SPROUT), and perinatal mental health programs.
    Expenses $1,265,836
