Mission

CITTA focuses on underprivileged communities which are considered to be some of the worlds most economically challenged and remote. Our objective is to preserve the culture of the communities we support. CITTA has developed a holistic and adaptable method called the HEED model (Health, Education, and Economic Development). We connect with these communities, considering the lack of access to proper healthcare and educational opportunities and weak or nonexistent economic development that can lead a community into a never-ending downward spiral. CITTA works to remedy the specific needs of a community, to produce an environment of equanimity and stability that provides opportunities and a sense of initiative and pride in its inhabitants.

  • The Rajkumari Ratnavati School is open and presently offered to girls below the poverty line residing in the Thar Desert region of Jaisalmer District, Rajasthan, India. The school began with an enrollment of 140 girls from Class 1 to 4 that will move up in the school each year until we reach capacity at 400 students up to Class 10. Using a social-emotional learning-based curriculum, students learn to read, write, and develop traditional skills unique to the region. The school also provides mid-day meals to ensure proper students nutrition and lessen families financial burden.
