Program accomplishments

  • THE NONPROFIT ALLIANCE FOUNDATION STRIVES TO DEVELOP AND DELIVER INNOVATIVE, COLLABORATIVE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING FOR PROFESSIONALS IN THE NONPROFIT SECTOR. THE FOUNDATION'S EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING INCREASES AWARENESS, KNOWLEDGE, AND SHARING OF BEST PRACTICES ACROSS THE SECTOR FOR IMPROVED OUTCOMES IN FUNDRAISING, ETHICS AND ACCOUNTABILITY, ORGANIZATIONAL MANAGEMENT, COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING, STAFF DEVELOPMENT AND RETENTION, REGULATORY COMPLIANCE, AND OTHER TIMELY AREAS OF NEED AND INTEREST. THE ESSENTIAL LEADERSHIP LAB, A YEAR-ROUND PEER-DRIVEN VIRTUAL PROGRAM THAT LAUNCHED IN 2021 AMID PANDEMIC-IMPOSED RESTRICTIONS, MAINTAINED ITS VALUE AND INCREASED ENROLLMENT IN 2024 AS DID THE IN-PERSON LEADERSHIP SUMMIT IN SEPTEMBER AND RISING LEADERS SUMMIT IN OCTOBER. THE NONPROFIT ALLIANCE FOUNDATION ACTIVELY SEEKS LIKE-MINDED ORGANIZATIONS TO COLLABORATE ON NEW AND DIFFERENT PROGRAMMING. IN 2024, THE FOUNDATION CONTINUED ITS JOINT PROGRAMMING WITH DMAW WITH THE NONPROFIT FUNDRAISERS SYMPOSIUM IN MARCH AND THE FAITH & FUNDRAISING FORUM AT THE ANNUAL BRIDGE TO INTEGRATED MARKETING & FUNDRAISING CONFERENCE IN AUGUST. THESE FIVE PILLAR EVENTS WERE SUPPLEMENTED WITH SMALLER EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING OFFERINGS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.
    Expenses $589,125 · revenue $396,381
  • STRENGTHEN PUBLIC PERCEPTION OF NONPROFITS' VALUE IN THE SOCIAL, CIVIC AND ECONOMIC ECOSYSTEM. THE FOUNDATION ROUTINELY DOES THIS THROUGH MEDIA OUTREACH, PUBLICATION AND PROMOTION OF THOUGHT LEADERSHIP FROM SECTOR LEADERS, AND CONSUMER RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS. KEY ACTIVITIES IN 2024 INCLUDED A NEW PSA RELEASE PROMOTING THE IMPACT OF NONPROFITS IN EVERDAY LIFE AND A NATIONAL PUBLIC ATTITUDINAL RESEARCH STUDY.
    Expenses $56,925
  • THE LEADING EDGE STUDENT INTERNSHIP PROGRAM LAUNCHED IN 2022 TO ELEVATE THE VISIBILITY OF COLLEGE-AGE JOB CANDIDATES, PARTICULARLY THOSE IN UNDERREPRESENTED AND FIRST-GENERATION STUDENT POPULATIONS, WITHIN THE EMPLOYER JOB MARKET AND ENABLE FIRST JOB PLACEMENTS THAT CAN LEAD TO A CAREER PATH IN THE SOCIAL GOOD SECTOR. IN 2024, LEADING EDGE PLACED TWENTY STUDENTS IN PAID INTERNSHIPS WITH NONPROFIT SECTOR EMPLOYERS IN THE WASHINGTON, DC, AND NEW YORK CITY AREAS. THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES ONE-ON-ONE SUPPORT FOR THE INTERNS AND THEIR EMPLOYER MANAGERS, EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING, AND INFORMAL VIRTUAL MENTORSHIP MEET-UPS.
