Mission

FACTORY BUILT OWNERS OF AMERICA (FBOA), A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION, WILL PROMOTE AND REPRESENT THE COMMON INTERESTS OF THE OWNERS AND PROSPECTIVE OWNERS OF MANUFACTURED HOMES AND THOSE WHO SUPPORT/PROMOTE THE MANUFACTURED HOUSING INDUSTRY. THIS INCLUDES ACQUIRING, MAINTAINING, AND IMPROVING THEIR MANUFACTURED HOMES AS WELL AS INFORMATION TO IMPROVE THEIR LIFESTYLES.

990-EZ for the year ended December 31, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • FBOA URBAN MANUFACTURED HOME PROGRAM: DESIGNED TO DEMONSTRATE THAT MANUFACTURED HOMES BUILT IN URBAN AREAS ARE ECONOMICALLY BENEFICIAL AND WILL NOT DETRACT FROM SURROUNDING PROPERTY VALUES. THE PROGRAM IS CONDUCTED IN NEW ORLEANS, WHERE THE CITY CONTROLS THOUSANDS OF HOME SITES THAT COULD BE USED TO ADDRESS THE ESTIMATED 30,000 UNITS NEEDED TO MEET CURRENT HOUSING NEEDS. BY LOWERING BARRIERS FOR POLICYMAKERS AND AFFORDABLE HOUSING DEVELOPERS AND BY COUNTERING NEGATIVE PERCEPTIONS ABOUT MANUFACTURED HOMES, FBOA HOPES THAT MANUFACTURED HOMES WILL BECOME A VIABLE OPTION FOR DENSELY POPULATED URBAN AREAS. BY DEMONSTRATING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF MANUFACTURED HOMES AS A HOUSING SOLUTION IN DENSELY POPULATED AREAS, FBOA WILL EXPAND ITS COMMITMENT TO REPRESENT THE COMMON INTERESTS OF THE OWNERS OF MANUFACTURED HOMES BY EDUCATING CITY LEADERS ABOUT THE PURCHASE AND MAINTENANCE OF FACTORY-BUILT HOMES. FBOA BELIEVES MANUFACTURED HOMES CAN HELP ALLEVIATE THE HOUSING SHORTAGE IN URBAN AREAS BY PROVIDING AN AFFORDABLE, VIABLE OPTION TO CONVENTIONALLY BUILT HOMES FOR METROPOLITAN REDEVELOPMENT. ALL INFORMATION GATHERED WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE TO OTHERS TO PROMOTE THE CREATION OF ADDITIONAL AFFORDABLE HOUSING IN URBAN AREAS USING MANUFACTURED HOMES.
    Expenses $207,465
