Mission
THE MASSACHUSETTS PRODUCTION COALITION, INC (MPC) REPRESENTS ITS MEMBERS WITH A UNIFIED VOICE TO ADVOCATE AND LOBBY ON ISSUES OF INDUSTRY-WIDE CONCERN. THE MPC INITIATES AND SUPPORTS ECONOMIC INITIATIVES TO ATTRACT, TO DEVELOP, AND TO RETAIN CREATIVE AND TECHNICAL JOBS IN THE COMMONWEALTH - AND PROVIDE ITS COMMUNITY WITH OUTSTANDING EDUCATIONAL AND NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES. THE MPC IS COMMITTED TO ENSURING THAT THE BUSINESS CLIMATE FOR THE FILM, TELEVISION, VIDEO AND NEW MEDIA INDUSTRIES FOSTERS CONTINUED GROWTH THAT WILL CARRY THE MASSACHUSETTS PRODUCTION INDUSTRY INTO THE FUTURE.
Program accomplishments
- QUARTERLY MEMBER MEETINGS WHICH INCLUDE PRESENTATIONS, INTRODUCTION OF NEW TECHNOLOGIES, SHOWCASING OF MEMBERS' WORKS, DISCUSSION OF ORGANIZATION'S ACTIVITIES.
- PROVIDE MEMBERS WITH CONSISTENT COMMUNICATIONS, PERSONAL INTERACTION, EDUCATION AND CAREER RESOURCES AND OVERALL MEANINGFUL INVOLVEMENT AND PARTICIPATION. THE MOVIE SCREENING EVENTS DRAW ATTENTION TO THE MAJOR MOTION PICTURES BEING PRODUCED IN MASSACHUSETTS AND PROVIDE THE LOCAL COMMUNITY OF CREW AND 'EXTRA ACTORS' WHO PARTICIPATED IN THE PRODUCTION WITH AN OPPORTUNITY TO GATHER AND CELEBRATE THEIR WORK.
- EXPO WHICH SHOWCASES THE MOST COMPLETE RANGE OF FILM AND MEDIA COMPANIES IN MASSACHUSETTS; INCLUDING TOP CREATIVE PRODUCTION & POST PRODUCTION COMPANIES, SUPPLIERS, INNOVATIVE PRODUCTS & ORGANIZATIONS.
