Program accomplishments

  • Lily's Rescue Rehab provided rehabilitation, veterinary care, behavioral training, and placement services for dogs and other animals in 2025. The organization accepted animals from local and rural shelters, law enforcement referrals, community surrenders, and emergency rescues including animals facing euthanasia, hoarding situations, abuse, and abandonment. During the year, the organization served approximately 20+ animals, including dogs with severe anxiety, heartworm disease, physical injuries, partial paralysis, and trauma-related behavioral issues. Notable outcomes include: multiple dogs successfully adopted into permanent homes after 6090 days of care; a dog (Lucille) saved from scheduled euthanasia and placed after six months of heartworm treatment and rehabilitation; six dogs rescued from a rural field during extreme summer heat; and a dog (Mac) who received specialized behavioral rehabilitation after a serious incident and was successfully rehomed. Animals not yet adopted continue to receive daily care, training, and rehabilitation. The organization also facilitated short-term emergency placement, owner reunification through community outreach, and ongoing post-adoption support for previously placed animals.
