Mission
Lubbock Game Changers exists to expand access to youth sports, leadership development, and community enrichment opportunities for children and families in West Texas. The organization provides scholarships, athletic programming, mentorship, and community-based initiatives designed to develop character, confidence, teamwork, and leadership through sports and educational experiences. Lubbock Game Changers also works to develop and support facilities and programs that increase opportunities for youth participation, regional events, and positive economic and community impact.
Program accomplishments
- During 2025, Lubbock Game Changers focused on organizational development, community outreach, fundraising, and building strategic partnerships to support its mission of expanding opportunities for youth through sports, leadership, and community engagement initiatives in West Texas. Key accomplishments included: * Secured funding and donor commitments for the organization's inaugural Game Changer Scholarships, which were awarded to local student-athletes in 2026. * Conducted fundraising and sponsorship development efforts to support future youth programming, scholarships, and community initiatives. * Established relationships with local businesses, community leaders, schools, and nonprofit partners to advance the organization's long-term mission and community impact. * Began planning and development efforts for The HUB Youth Sports & Event Center, a proposed multi-sport and community facility designed to increase access to youth athletics, leadership opportunities, and regional events in West Texas. * Developed organizational infrastructure, branding, outreach materials, and public awareness efforts to support future exempt activities and charitable programming.grants $15,000
