Mission

Mission: The Twelve Foundation seeks to create equal opportunities for quality substance use disorder treatment, which would otherwise be unaffordable, by mobilizing our community to support individuals and families seeking recovery. Our flagship program, The Grove on Patterson, will support pregnant and parenting persons seeking treatment with their children.

990 for the year ended December 31, 2024

Program accomplishments

  • The Twelve Foundation was established March 12, 2024 with the goal to open a residential substance use treatment center for pregnant and newly parenting women. During 2024, our partner Restoration Housing purchased a home and renovated it to house up to 16 women with their children. It received its Certificate of Occupancy in March 2025. They will be the landlord for The Twelve Foundation at a nominal rent rate going forward. We then furnished the house and it received its licensure by the Commonwealth of Virginia to be a residential treatment center for pregnant and parenting women in April 2025. We then accepted our first pregnant women with substance use disorder in May 2025 and are now accepting new residents until we reach our maximum of sixteen. We are excited to offer this service to the residents of our community and beyond.
