Program accomplishments

  • In 2025, Blessed & Favored Co made significant progress toward fulfilling its mission through major facility improvements and operational stability made possible by generous donations: Secured 12 months of utilities and 6 months of rent coverage, ensuring uninterrupted operations and consistent service delivery to the community. Successfully remodeled a historic garage (built in 1945) into a functional community service space, including cleaning, structural improvements, installation of windows, electricity, heating, and labor. Enhanced community safety and security by installing a double swing metallic gate and adding a cedar fence to secure open alley areas and limit intruders. Improved accessibility and functionality of outdoor spaces by pouring a concrete slab in a previously muddy area designated for community use. Created additional parking and loading areas to support food bank truck operations, client pickup, supply deliveries, and donation drop-offs. Developed a multi-purpose outdoor space capable of hosting food distribution activities, community meetings, tea parties, craft exhibitions, summer events, and organizational celebrations for up to 60 participants.
