Mission
To provide a safe and supportive environment where girls can embrace their individuality, build meaningful relationships, and cultivate essential life skills through mentorship, leadership development, and community-based programming.
Program accomplishments
- In 2025, R.E.A.L. Girlz (Responsible, Empowered, and Loved) served girls in grades 7-12 across Richmond, Chesterfield, and Petersburg, Virginia through three core program areas. Through its After-School and Summer Programming, delivered in partnership with NextUp RVA, Boys & Girls Club of Greater Richmond, and Peter Paul Development Center, girls participated in STEM activities, personal hygiene workshops, self-empowerment sessions, social-emotional development workshops, field trips, and team-building activities. Through its Mentor and Leadership Program, high school girls developed public speaking skills, earned CPR certification, participated in college tours, and served as mentors to younger girls. Through its SumHer Experience, an annual retreat-style program, participants engaged in character development, healthy relationship workshops, and confidence-building activities. The organization also hosted its "A New Me" Community Day of Service, providing free hairstyles, arts and crafts, and wellness activities to elementary-age girls across Central Virginia.Expenses $48,596
